Have I been taught what to think, or how to think? And if I've only been taught what to think, do I really have any chance of seeing significant change in my life or life time? Doesn't significant change entail one's ablility to self reflect, think beyond, or outside the box? Has a generation of facts and information taken precedense over methods and concepts?
The bible is full of patterns, methods and concepts. We can see that these always produce an expected result. (you do A&B and a logical result will be to expect C) Our life is full of patterns, our outcomes are the results of patterns we have followed in our life. If we want the same outcome then just follow the same pattern, go with the flow, don't ever rock the boat...but don't ever expect more or different than you have now. The same actions are going to produce the same results, everytime!
Am I too lazy, lack too much courage? Is it so much easier to go with the flow? To not have to take responsibility for one's own outcome, or am I missing out on an abundant life by not asking questions, gathering information, using it effectively, creatively and logically, to be able to come to a reliable and trustworthy conclusion that enables me to live and act successfully?
Uuummm...who just said that personal growth is uncomfortable, but it is always the right thing to do and leads to the right outcome? I want to grow, I want great things for the lives of my kids, myself. How much revival will I walk past because it doesn't fall into the confines of what I've been taught to think? How many outcomes in my life will be different because I've learned how to think.......
