It's a New Season, It's a New Day....

I'm so grateful that His mercies endureth forever. What hope that gives me that I can get right back up and do it again...He's an awesome God.

Pastor taught Wednesday on "The Mission", very powerful stuff. There were many of those "ouch" moments. This has been the subject of conversation around our house of late. We must refocus on the kingdom of God, when you are focused on the mission, every trial, sickness, every disgruntled spirit, every bad attitude has no place to go. What is going to happen when we get so focused on God and His will pertaining to souls?? I think we are going to see the miraculous happen.

I'm working on a program right now with the city, and I'm very, did I say VERY excited about it? As you drive into my mission field you'll see the signs posted "drug and gang free zone", these are posted right on the outskirts. The premise of the program is to be out in your neighborhood, I mean mission field. If a family or person with an affiliation to the registered church will commit to spend 'X' amount of hours in the neighborhood the city will post entry and exit signs above the drug and gang free sighs that say "You are entering First United Pentecostals mission field, Welcome" and a contact number will be put on it. A little similar to a neighborhood watch program, but that's okay, whatever it take. I'm excited about the possibility of driving through town and seeing these signs posted everywhere.

I'm working on myself, the way I see things, I want to be able to see outside the box, to work outside the box. I want to be a vessel that is usable to Him. He has placed each and everyone of us where He wants us, He just didn't sprinkle us over Oroville and say land where you can. We have been strategically placed for a reason, for a soul.

I find it very interesting that in Luke14, Jesus is speaking...."And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and COMPEL them to come in, that my house may be filled." I always read that as, reason with them, invite them etc. When I really started looking over the scripture I discovered something that for me, changed everything....ready for this?? The dictionary definition of "compel" means, to force or drive, to over power, to bring by any means necessary, to have a powerful and irresistible effect or influence (Holy Ghost). Jesus wasn't messing around here, He used some very strong words pertaining to what He expected.

If my pastor came to me and said, I am sending you to the "land of X" where God wants you to be a missionary, when you got there would you just sit around in your house, I don't think so. You would see it as your mission field and you would be out and about looking to see where God is working and how you could help that work. God has sent us to a mission field, lets look around and see where God is working and how He can use us
